The Flatbush Zombies are at it again, not eating the brains of Coachella goers, but they've dropped a new video definitely suitable for the coming summer. The hip-hop trio consisting of Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, and Erick "Arc" Elliot, continue with their consistent video releases, this time with the video for "Palm Trees". Featuring cuts from their Coachella performance, which was quite phenomenal for those who weren't in Cali or zoning out to the live-stream. "Palm Trees" of course follows the Zombie lifestyle; weed, acid, and more drugs.
Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, as they've taken this theme of hip-hop and ran with it. Their 2012 self-released album "D.R.U.G.S.", displayed how they could implement their passion of drugs into their songs, whether over-saturated or not, it worked. People may say, and should say, that this is something done very frequently in hip-hop. Whether your'e with the Gold Gang, poppin' molly and sweatin', or all you happen to know is yayo, because you've been hanging around Snootie Wild too much.
"Palm Trees" is definitely something to ride to late at night. Erick produces a somewhat angelic and eerie aura layered with a chorus of high dignity. This goes to show that no matter what, the Flatbush Zombies will forever be the Zombies they are today. Whether your'e human or not, the Flatbush Zombies are not going to let any shit talk bring them down.
"So when you throw shade, it could never harm me"
